Sophie wanted a low-key honeymoon as she felt embarrassed about spending lots of money but still wanted something special. James wanted to treat his new wife in style. She wanted animals, views and culture. He wanted luxury, treats and romance. They both wanted to get married abroad but with no guests, no razmattaz and no fuss.
We decided South Africa would suit them, arriving in Cape Town and staying at The Cape Grace. It’s a luxury hotel on the waterfront. Although they would have had a great wedding package with amazing views out over the Southern Ocean, we felt it was not unique enough and there would be lots of people around. How about a wedding in a game park with the sun going down, beautiful views, a honeymoon suite and fewer people?
So that was the destination, the style, the wedding and the animal viewing all fixed up. We also arranged for them to take wedding cake to a children’s orphanage and make a donation to a leopard sanctuary. What about the grand finale? A leisurely transfer over to Mauritius and ten nights at The Residence Hotel in a beachfront suite was included with flowers waiting for them on arrival.
And here are some of the emails they sent us during their trip…
“Just to let you know that so far the trip has been superb and the wedding surpassed our wildest dreams and expectations.”
“Thank you for the beautiful arrangement of flowers that arrived to our suite today. They are truly spectacular. We continue to have a wonderful time – it’s difficult not to here.
Fantastic beaches and plenty of sunshine… it’s a hard life!”
